Leone still undefeated in boys’ ASHSAA Futsal

Leone narrowly beat SPA Dolphins 3-1 on Monday, Nov. 7, 2011 at Leone High School while in the only other match it was Samoana 7, Manumalo Baptist Academy 1. The Faga’itua Vikings were idle.
Games continue on Oct. 9 with the Sharks taking on Leone and SPA facing off against the Vikings at Samoana High School.
The Leone-Samoana game features the top-two teams in the standings playing against one another with the Sharks moving into second place after that big win against Manumalo Baptist by a differential in goals over the Vikings.
Faga’itua and Samoana are tied with 12 points apiece.
Tafuna is no longer in the competition after withdrawing earlier in the first round.
Including Oct. 9’s matches, there are three more games remaining before the end of the second round robin.
Only the top four teams advance to the playoffs and at the moment Leone is No. 1 with 18 points, Samoana at No. 2 with 12 points, Faga’itua with 12 points, SPA Dolphins at No. 4 with 6 points and Manumalo also with 6 points.
The Sharks are 15-8 in goals differential against Faga’itua and the Dolphins have that edge over Manumalo with -6 to the latter’s -20.
