New No. 1s in women’s National League

The previous No. 1 teams, Ilaoa & To’omata for Pool A and Pool B’s Tafuna Jets, dropped down to No. 2 after sitting out Round 5 with byes.
POOL A
Pago Youth ensured their top of the leader board position with a 5-1 win over Black Roses while in other Pool A games it was Green Bay 6, Lion Heart 1 and PanSa 3, Vaitogi United 0.
Ilaoa & To’omata is tied with Green Bay at 10 points apiece but the former has the upper hand in goals differential. PanSa comes in at No. 4 with 9 points, followed by Vaitogi United with 3, Black Roses with 0 and Lion Heart at No. 7 with 0.
A key match up that could shake things in the standings is the game between Green Bay and Pago Youth.
POOL B
Utulei Youth rocketed to the top of the standings by rocking previous No. 3 Kiwi Soccers 11-0. To be fair, Kiwi Soccers was undermanned as they started off with only seven players playing.
In other Pool B matches it was Fagasa Youth 3, Atu’u Broncos 0 and Vailoatai Youth 5, Fagatogo Blue 0.
A battle for the No. 1 position takes place this Saturday with Utulei Youth taking on No. 2 Tafuna Jets. Utulei leads the group with 12 points, followed by Tafuna with 10, Vailoatai Youth with 7, Kiwi Soccers at No. 4 with 7, at No. 5 is Fagasa Youth with 3, Fagatogo Blue with 3 and sitting in No. 7 is Atu’u Broncos with 0.
