Vikings lead Boys’ High School Futsal

Three rounds have been played so far and Faga’itua leads the Leone Lions by a differential in goals (10-7) with both tied with nine points apiece from three wins.
Samoana is third with 6 points, followed by Manumalo with 3, SPA Dolphins in fifth place with 0 and the Tafuna Warriors in sixth place with 0 points as well.
In Round 1 games on Oct. 17, 2011 at Tafuna High School Faga’itua beat Manumalo 6-0; Leone Lions were awarded a win by default over Tafuna and Samoana won 7-4 against Manumalo.
The Lions managed to over come a 2-0, first half deficit against the SPA Dolphins on Oct. 19 at Samoana High School against SPA to win 4-3 while the Sharks held Manumalo scoreless, 7-0. The Vikings were awarded a win by default against the Warriors.
On Oct. 24, the Lions won a thrilling, 4-1 contest against the Sharks that was much closer than the final score indicates while the Vikings held off SPA 2-1. Tafuna forfeited their match against Manumalo.
Games are held twice a week utilizing three sites — Tafuna, Samoana and Leone High Schools.
The competition is two round robins with the playoffs for the top 4 kicking off Nov. 21 and the final scheduled for Nov. 23.
