Heated race for 4th place in HS girls soccer

The Leone Lions, Tafuna Warriors and Kananafou Stallions are 4th, 5th and 6th, respectively in the standings. They are all tied with six points each and the tiebreakder goes to Leone with -1 differential in goals, -4 for Tafuna and -5 for the Stallions.
These latest standings come after the kickoff of the second round on Jan. 28 saw the league-leading Sharks pull away from second place Faga’itua Vikings in points, 21-15.
The Sharks closed out the first round with an 8-0 win over Faga’itua and then kick-started the second with a 3-1 win over the Vikings in what was a much more competitive game the second time around.
Fa’asao-Marist Cougars currently hold 3rd place in the standings with nine points. Iakina Adventist Academy is 7th with 0 points.
In the J-V division, Samoana overtook the Tafuna Warriors at the top of the standings by way of goals scored with 10.
Goals scored is the second tiebreaker used when two teams are tied for points with the first being the difference in goals scored and against.
Both teams have seven apiece in that category while the Sharks edge Tafuna by one in goals scored, 10-9.
