Samoana goes for back-to-back titles

All season long these two teams have been No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, with Samoana winning both regular season games against Faga’itua by a combined score of 11-1.
In their first meeting the Sharks won handily 8-0 but the Vikings played much better the second time around in a 3-1 loss.
Samoana is heavily favored especially with a host of great players from front to back.
Up front their goal scoring is led by Yandell Liu with some great assistance from Rupi Fia.
Feeding their scoring frenzy are midfielders Fuataina Siatu’u and Melinda Tua and Taulagaola Utai. With this group of midfielders and attackers Samoana has scored a league-high 50 goals.
Then they have excellent defenders led by Annemarie Seui and Silotoa Simi and together with goalie Annie Tauvae they have managed to allow only seven goals against them, best in the league.
With this group of players the Vikings have their hands full and will need to do a lot in order to pull off an upset.
This falls on the shoulders of their best player, Tasi Alailesulu, who is utilized all over the field from defending to attacking.
Josephine Mata’u has emerged as a dangerous attacker after netting two goals against Leone during their semi-final match and along with teammates Visa Vaiau, Tuamauga Mao and Sina Luani, have a strong core up front and in the middle to try to crack through Samoana’s tough defenders.
Vikings defenders Rasela Ta’ala and Toe A’eau have their hands full as they lead their group in the back in the hopes of stopping Samoana’s attacks.
Good luck to both teams in the championship match.
