West beats East in ASHSAA girls’ soccer All Star Game

This came by way thanks to a brilliant performance from Vidya Singh who scored two goals and assisted on two others.
Teammate Makereta Agatonu scored three goals while Nikki Tolmie had perhaps the best one of the day with a shot from just beyond the penalty box that dropped in behind the outstretched hands of the goalie.
Singh’s performance earned her the All Star Game’s MVP award and all the players of the winning team received medals sponsored by Football Federation American Samoa.
Coaching the West team were Mike Tolmie of Fa’asao-Marist and Ronald George Suhren of Kanana Fou. The West All Stars team was made up of Fa’asao-Marist, Kanana Fou, Tafuna and South Pacific Academy players.
For the East, their coaches were Silasila Samuelu of Samoana, Vaimili Tyrell and Lalomilo Mano of Faga’itua. Nu’uuli Voc-Tech was the third school partnering up with Samoana and Faga’itua to make up the East All Stars.
