Pago A & Vailoatai win men’s semi-finals

Pago Youth A, No. 1 from Pool A beat Pago Youth B 5-1 while Vailoatai Youth, Pool B’s top seed, won against Vaitogi United 3-0.
Vaitogi United could have led this game from the get-go with a penalty shot early in the match and another point-blank opportunity several minutes later.
The penalty shot was blocked by goalie Satila Tupua and several minutes later Kid Bartley missed a point-blank shot at goal as he failed to connect with the ball on a cross from a teammate.
All this occurred within the first 10 minutes of the match with Vaitogi coming out strong and playing. But in the 13th minute Vailoa came alive when Ryan Petaia scoring the game’s first goal.
Seven minutes later Junior Vaigafi scored his first of two goals as Vailoatai went on their way to a 3-0 win.
Vailoatai was the top seed out of Pool B with Vaitogi finishing second in Pool B.
The two Pago teams played a tough match with the B squad, consisting mostly of high school students, putting up a good fight against their older brothers despite the scoreline of 5-1.
It could have been much closer if Pago B had made good on numerous opportunities but the ball just wasn’t rolling their way on a some decent attempts.
Rambo Tapui and Ailao Tualaulelei Jr. scored twice for Pago A and Alatina Vaiali’i scored also.
Scoring for Pago B was Fred Logologo.
