Mad dash for final four playoff teams

The girls Grades 3-5 is set with Samoa Baptist Academy being the No. 1 team with 16 points, followed by South Pacific Academy at No. 2, Peteli Academy at No. 3 and Marist St. Francis in fourth place.
The playoffs kick off next week Monday with SBA to face off against Marist St. Francis while SPA takes on Peteli in the other match. The winners advance to the championship game set for Nov. 26 at the Kanana Fou Seminary.
For the Grades 3-5, four teams are tied with 16 points each and are ranked according to a difference in goals. That means SPA is the top team, followed by St. Theresa, Iakina at No. 3 and Peteli at No. 4.
In the girls’ Grades 6-8, five teams are in the running for the top four spots, with the No. 4 and No. 5 teams only separated by a point. SPA has 11 points for the No. 4 seat while SBA is fifth with 10.
Both teams will play their last game of the season against one another on Nov. 19, and the winner will surely advance to Monday’s scheduled playoffs.
Marist St. Francis is the top team of the division by way of differential in goals over Peteli (39-20) as both teams have 19 points apieace. Kanana Fou A is third in the division with 18 points.
Finally, in the boys’ Grades 6-8, five teams have at shot at the playoffs.
Marist St. Francis is No. 1 with 18 points, followed by Iakina with 16, No. 3 Pacific Horizon with 15, SPA at No. 4 with 13 and St. Theresa at No. 5 with 12 points.
Peteli Academy sits at No. 6 with 11 points but is now out of contention as they have a bye on the last day of the competition, leaving them with no shot at improving their record.
