Utulei advance to women’s final

Utulei is the only team to advance to the championship of the all semi-finals that were scheduled on that day because of a power outage from Faga’alu to Fagaloa that lasted more than two hours in some areas.
The men’s No. 2 Tafuna Jets vs. No. 3 Lion Heart was a casualty of this power outage as the game had progressed six minutes into the first half before darkness descended in the gymnasium with the score still 0-0.
After more than 40 minutes with the power still not restored, CEO Tavita Taumua called off the rest of the games with the three remaining semi-finals (above mentioned match plus women’s No. 1 Black Roses vs. No. 4 Ilaoa & To’omata and men’s No. 1 FC SKBC vs. No. 4 Black Roses) to be played April 27 while the games for 3rd and 4th places and championship matches to be held April 29.
The match between the Jets and Lion Heart is to be re-played from the start.
Utulei Youth 0, Tafuna Jets 0
The Jets’ Atene Tevaga and U-20 women’s No. 3 goalie Fiapa’ipa’i Siatu’u put up a goalkeeping clinic on this day by stopping numerous shots throughout 40 minutes of regulation and 10 of overtime.
During the overtime Siatu’u was the victor as her squad went on to win 2-0 in penalties.
