Taputimu retains Cup with strong 2nd half

Tonga took advantage of their fitness and speed to contest strongly in the first half against a much more experienced Taputimu Youth as the half ended 0-0.
But in the second their inexperience and technical skills became their undoing as Ryan Petaia and Bobby Nu’usila finally broke through with goals in the first and eighth minutes, respectively.
Both scored again midway through the second half to put the match away 4-0 in their favor.
FC SKBC 4, LION HEART B 1
FC SKBC’s second win of the season has them sitting on top of the standings for the 2012 FFAS National League’s Division 2.
They beat Lion Heart B 4-1 after a tough first half saw the match tied 1-1.
ATU’U BRONCOS 3, ILAOA & TO’OMATA 1
Atu’u took a 1-0 lead in the first half and added to it with two goals in the second to win 3-1 against Ilaoa & To’omata.
It was evenly matched in the first half and in the second the Broncos caught a few breaks that saw them break the stalemate and extend their winning streak to two games in-a-row.
PANSA 3, GREEN BAY 1
Green Bay had just tied the match in the 41st minute 2-2 but only two minutes later D’Angelo Herrera struck the winning goal for a 3-2 final.
PanSa led at the end of the first half 2-1 and then managed the equalizer six minutes into the second half on a goal by Michael Punefu.
Punefu could have tied the game in the waning minutes but he did not convert on an open net shot that he pushed way over the cross bar.
