A new change in varsity leadership

In J-V action, the Tafuna Warriors held off the defending champ’s push for the No. 1 spot after dusting them off 3-0. In the only other junior varsity game it was Vikings 2, Lions 2.
VARSITY
VIKINGS 3, LIONS 0
Leone played shorthanded throughout the entire match with only nine players on the field but played well enough to hold the goals against them to only three.
The Vikings could have had more but missed many opportunities, especially late in the match.
Tasi A. scored a brace for Faga’itua.
JUNIOR VARSITY
WARRIORS 3, SHARKS 0
Tafuna had the defending champs backpedaling throughout most of the match and a commanding first half had the division’s top team leading 2-0.
Scoring for the Warriors were Darelene Pese, Titiula Manuma and Felila Ching-Sam.
VIKINGS 2, LIONS 2
Clement Semi scored a brace, including the equalizer in the second half, to help the Lions earn their first point of the competition through the tie.
A win earns a team three points, a draw one and a loss zero.
