ASHSAA Boys’ soccer season in full swing

Defending champs Tafuna Warriors for the J-V division are hot on the heels of Faga’itua as well as Samoana.
For the varsity division, defending champs Leone are off to a rough start after a 3-0 loss to the Vikings over the weekend.
VARSITY
The Vikings are two points ahead of the Tafuna Warriors with 6 points to the Warriors’ 4 while in third place in the standings is Nu’uuli Voc-Tech with three.
In four, five and six are Samoana, Kananafou and Fa’asao-Marist with one-point each while Leone and Iakina round out the 7th and 8th places in the standings.
The top four teams advance to the semi-final playoffs after two rounds of play.
JUNIOR VARSITY
With the Vikings atop the leader board, Samoana and Tafuna are 2nd and 3rd with three points each, followed by Fa’asao-Marist in fourth and then Leone and the Wildcats in fifth and sixth place.
Two rounds of play have been scheduled with the team finishing in No. 1 in the standings to be crowned champions. All games are being held at Pago Park Soccer Stadium.
