Boys ASHSAA soccer kicks off

The Vikings’ varsity squad won 2-0 while the junior varsity contest was a 1-1 draw.
Game will be held three times a week with both divisions having two rounds to complete. There are eight schools in the varsity competition and six in the J-V.
The eight varsity teams are defending champs Leone Lions, Vikings, Crusaders, Tafuna Warriors, Samoana Sharks, Kananafou Stallions, Nu’uuli Voc-Tech Wildcats and Iakina Adventist Academy.
Playoffs for the varsity will be for the top four teams at the end of two rounds.
On March 1 the Wildcats take on Iakina while Tafuna goes up against the Stallions in varsity games only. Leone starts defense of their title on March 3 against the Vikings.
In the J-V defending champs Tafuna, Nu’uuli Voc-Tech, Leone, Samoana, Faga’itua and Fa’asao-Marist.
At the end of two rounds the team with the best record will be crowned champions.
Tafuna plays their first game of the season on March 3 against the Wildcats.
