Men’s final four set

Pool A’s top seed Black Roses held off No. 4 Utulei Youth 2-1 in a very tough match that many thought would go to extra time until Bob Nu’usila provided the game winner late in the second period.
Fagasa Youth, the second seed, dispatched No. 3 Kiwi Soccers 3-0 after a hard-fought 0-0 draw in the first half.
In Pool B No. 1 Pago Youth A eked out a 2-1 win against Lion Heart in their third meeting of the year. Pago A lost to Lion Heart in their President’s Cup meeting and then beat them during their group match.
No. 2 Vailoatai Youth had a scoring fest with No. 3 FC SKBC as both teams racked up seven goals. In their group match they both walked off the field after a 1-1 tie but this time Vailoatai was victorious, 4-3, despite SKBC scoring the first goal. Leading them to victory was Vaigafi Maiava with a hat trick while SKBC’s scoring specialist Gun Chul Kang had two.
With these teams now moving up the 2010 National League semi-finals, Pool A’s top seed will take on Pool B’s No. 2 and vice-versa.
This mean’s Pool A’s No. 1 Black Roses will face Pool B’s No. 2 Vailoatai Youth while Pool B’s No. 1 Pago Youth A takes on Pool A’s No. 2 Fagasa Youth with the winners advancing to the Dec. 11 championship match.
