FFAS holds FIFA Coaching Course

“I believe the information given out to you by Mr. Selby during his introduction is enough to guide you through this course,” Iuli explained. “And now I officially declare this course opened.”
Selby, a 28-year coaching veteran and FIFA Instructor, laid out a brief explanation of what they will be covering this week.
“I will be bringing in new bits of information and resources such as new ways you can utilize the computer,” he pointed out. “Now you can download information from the Internet and change it to fir your specifications.
“What has to happen,” he continued, “is that you ask yourself,
· Where does this fit within my level?
· How can I use it with the resources, players and equipment I have?
“Well, this course will help facilitate reaching the light at the end of that tunnel.”
This is the third straight year Selby has conducted a course in American Samoa and the second straight one under the youth heading. FFAS Instructor Ruben Luvu is assisting Selby in conducting the course that includes theoretical and practical sessions.
Course participant certificates will be handed out on Saturday, May 8, 2010 with youth licenses to be given out at a later date after Luvu holds practical and theoretical exams for the current participants.
Selby returns to Australia on May 9 after arriving in the territory on May 1st.
