Ilaoa & To’omata leads Division 2 by points

Ilaoa & To’omata beat Vaiala Tongan B 9-2 while Atu’u survived their FFAS National Cup challenge match against Black Roses with a 1-1 draw while Vaitogi United beat up on Green Bay 7-0.
Both Ilaoa & To’omata and Atu’u Broncos were tied in the points department with the former holding the No. 1 position via the goals differential tiebreaker.
That all changed when Ilaoa & To’omata walked away with three points for the win while Atu’u came away with a point because of the draw.
ATU’U BRONCOS 1, BLACK ROSES 1
With the game tied 1-1, Atu’u had a chance to score the game-winner when awarded a penalty kick late in the second half. Captain Malala Iose’s shot was high and blocked by goalkeeper Henry Lesa.
Black Roses scored first when Hinekley Seumanu scored from a direct kick but Livi Afano equalized for the Broncos before the game went into the half tied at 1-1.
Black Roses had a good number of attempts but could not wrest the cup away from Atu’u.
ILAOA & TO’OMATA 9, VAIALA TONGAN B 2
Ilaoa & To’omata won big in a 9-2 output that has them leading Atu’u in the standings with by two points, 16-14.
Tanu Iosefa scored five goals on the day for Ilaoa & To’omata while Puna Alatasi had two.
VAITOGI UNITED 7, GREEN BAY 0
Alapati Sula came out the winner on Match Day 6 with six goals to his name in Vaitogi United’s 7-0 win over Green Bay.
He completed his hat trick in the first half as his team went into the break with a 3-0 lead and then scored another hat trick in the second half for six goals.
