FFAS’ 2015 Summer Youth League to kick off July 1

“It is a lot of hard work for our executive, members, parents and staff to run this league but it is one of the most rewarding,” explained FFAS President Faiivae Iuli Alex Godinet. “Just seeing the kids playing, screaming and having fun playing soccer is a very rewarding experience for all.
“There is one big change to be added in this year’s competition,” Faiivae added. “We are opening the competition up to children starting from ages 5 where as before it was ages 6 and up.
For the last three years FFAS has provided school supplies to the children ages 6-11 as prizes as a way to help parents prepare for the new school year. The older aged divisions, 12-14 and 15-17, receive monetary prizes while all teams also are given snacks and drinks.
“We will be looking to provide all of these again for our Summer Youth League,” Faiivae said.
The competition is open to all 11, FFAS member clubs and parents can enroll their children in the clubs in your area.
They are Black Roses (Tafuna), Faga’alu Green Bay (Faga’alu), FC SKBC (Tafuna), Ilaoa & To’omata (Leone), Lion Heart (Ili’ili), Pago Youth (Pago Pago), PanSa (Pago Pago), Tafuna Jets (Tafuna), Utulei Youth (Utulei), Vaiala Tongan (Pava’ia’i) and Vaitogi United (Vaitogi).
The age groups for the competition are:
Mixed 5-8
Mixed 9-11
Boys 12-14
Girls 15-17
Boys 15-17
