5-A-Side League off and running

Ilaoa & To’omata sees a big change in its team former FC SKBC players joining their squad and turning them into a top contender for the title.
Leading the strong list of names is Gun Kang, one of the best at finding the back of the net in American Samoa. In their two games last Saturday they beat Atu’u Broncos 9-3 and Pago Youth 4-1.
Utulei Youth is another team considered as a top contender for the title in the 12-team, one round-robin competition for the men’s open division.
In the men’s U-18 bracket, Ilaoa & To’omata also comes out as a top contender with a host of young up and comers, along with Lion Heart and Vaiala Tongan.
There are six teams competing in the division.
In the women’s contest, Utulei Youth, Ilaoa & To’omata and the Tafuna Jets are the strong teams in the two, round-robin format.
