Fa’asao-Marist dominate ASHSAA girls soccer

They have scored a whopping 26 goals while allowing only one against them, even winning in a rematch of last year’s championship game with a 4-0 score against Kanana Fou.
Fueled by a second place finish and bringing back most of their players from last year, including a run-away bet as the league’s best player in Nikki Tolmie, the Cougars are taking the competition by storm.
The league is an eight-team competition — Fa’asao-Marist, Samoana Sharks, Tafuna Warriors, Kanana Fou Stallions, South Pacific Academy Dolphins, Leone Lions and the Nu’uuli Voc-Tech Wildcats.
The top four teams will advance to the playoffs schedule for March 10 with the championship game to be played on March 12. An All Star game is scheduled for March 26.
In the Junior Varsity division, there are only five teams with a few games having been played so far. The competing schools are the Cougars, Sharks, Warriors, Vikings and Lions.
At the moment the Cougars are also leading the J-V division with three wins out of three games.
The team finishing the league with the most points will be crowned champions of the division.
