Semi-finals set for Private Elementary Schools league

The semi-finals are set for the 2014 version of the Private Elementary Schools Soccer League in all divisions.
In the upper age group (Grades 6-8), the first round of the a top-6 playoff format was held on Thursday with the winners advancing to the semi-finals scheduled for Monday, November 24.
In the younger age division (Grades 3-5), the regular season ended last Thursday with the semi-finals set for Nov. 24.
Two upset soccurred last Thursday with Pacific Horizon, the sixth seed, beating the No. 3 seed Marist St. Francis 5-4.
The other was No. 5 St. Theresa beating No. 4 Kanana Fou A 5-4 to advance to the next round.
The semi-final games will have No. 1 South Pacific Academy take on No. 6 Pacific Horizon while No. 2 Peteli Academy plays against No. 5 St. Theresa.
No. 5 Kanana Fou A upset fourth seeded Marist St. Francis 2-1 to set up a meeting with defending champs and second seeded Samoa Baptist.
Peteli Academy beat Iakina Adventist Academy 2-0 to set up a date against the group’s No. 1 seed, St. Theresa.
No. 1 Kanana Fou-A will face Iakina Academy in the semi-final on Nov. 24 while defending champs, No. 2 Peteli, plays against No. 3 Samoa Baptist with the winners advancing to the championship game scheduled for Nov. 26.
Kanana Fou-B is the top team in this group and will take on the fourth seed, Peteli in one semi-final.
The other features Kanana Fou-A, the second seed, against No. 3 Samoa Baptist B.
Winners advance to the finals set for Nov. 24.
